Chipping Norton Hotel

Structures by Design was engaged by the Don Hodge Group to deliver a large-scale operable louvre roof solution for the newly built Chipping Norton Hotel in Sydney’s South West, supplying and installing 15 custom Alushade operable louvre roof systems across two levels of the new venue.

Six louvre roof systems were incorporated into the ground-floor bistro and dining area, creating a flexible outdoor space that can adapt to changing weather conditions. The remaining systems were installed on the upper level above the games room area, extending the hotel’s usable outdoor spaces across the development.

The Alushade aluminium louvre system features adjustable tilting blades, allowing the venue to control sunlight, shade and ventilation throughout the day while providing weather protection when closed.

With 15 individual systems integrated throughout the hotel, the project demonstrates the versatility of operable louvre roofing for large-scale hospitality and commercial developments.

The completed installation gives Chipping Norton Hotel greater flexibility across its outdoor areas, helping create comfortable, functional spaces designed for year-round use.
